Travel difficulties in the hills and "hollers" did not dissuade Lora. In her Model T she navigated potholes, dangerous curves, and barely conquered steep roads in the challenging West Virginia mountains to accomplish her calling. She wrote her own curriculum, drew her own pictures, and held classes. She ministered to women and children in the communities. Many who knew her were inspired by her sacrifice.
