RuthAnn Zimmerman is coming to Ephrata!

RuthAnn Zimmerman, a homesteading blogger and author, is coming to Good's Store in Ephrata on Thursday, October 23. She will be in the store from 10 am to noon to meet, chat, and sign books.

RuthAnn Zimmerman was born and raised in the Ephrata area, but she and her family have lived in northeastern Iowa for more than 20 years.  She and her husband Elvin own a 21-acre homestead where they raise produce, livestock, and children.  They have seven children, two of whom are married and five of whom still live on the homestead.  The homestead offers plenty of opportunities for gardening, raising animals, learning about God’s creation, and learning how to follow Him in life.

RuthAnn’s desire is to live a Godly life in a simple manner, living close to the land and producing delicious, nutritious food for her family.  She details life on the Zimmerman homestead on her website (ruthannzimm.com), YouTube (“Homesteading with the Zimmermans”), Facebook, and Instagram.

While raising produce and livestock are an essential part of the homestead, RuthAnn and Elvin understand that raising their children is a more significant goal.  Their children are an integral part of the homestead, learning and developing character qualities such as perseverance, ingenuity, and diligence.  All of this is done in the context of a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

RuthAnn recently published a book called The Heart of the Homestead.  Published by Harvest House, the book offers insights that RuthAnn has gained over the years on how to work together as a family, how to grow and preserve your own food, how to find contentment in a simple life of doing more with less, and how to slow down and focus on what’s important.  RuthAnn’s book features recipes, gardening and food preservation tips, and insights into parenting.  The hardcover book is beautifully designed with full-color photos.  You can buy the book here.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet RuthAnn Zimmerman!
