Susannah's Quest is a story of a girl who lived with the stigma of being one of John Heckendorn's daughters. He had a reputation of being too lazy to work and their family of eleven children grew up poor. As a young girl, Susannah was forced to live with another family, the Martins, who were lovely Christian, Mennonite people. Or were they? She soon learned that appearance can be deceiving. This story is one of hardship, emotional struggles and church problems. Yet, it is also a story of hope and finding peace and contentment in God despite adversity.
