Times were tough for Joseph Martin and his Old Order Mennonite family on their Pennsylvania farm in the 1930s. His mother was suffering from a severe mental illness and needed to be placed in an institution. Aunt Lizzie stepped up to take care of the children and house, but she couldn't take away the suffering they faced. The family is facing poverty, and Joseph is facing prison if he refuses to participate in war. Join Joseph as he discovers the mysterious ways that God works.
Based on a true story, sprinkled with a bit of imagination.
