Egg poacher, not working

I ordered the 4-egg poacher so as to use it for exactly that, poaching eggs. The lid does not stay secure. After e-mailing Good rep, I was advised that when they looked at poacher the lid was not secure, but it was for using the poacher as a pan only. I was advised I can return the poacher to Goode Store but will have to pay for shipping back. I was given the Norpro e-mail and have since written them and received a response that they will look into this after they return to work (not working now due to corona virus). All other purchases through the Good Store were exceptional.
